About DDS Success
DDS Success is a subscription-based online training platform for dental teams. One monthly price of $289 covers the doctor and up to ten additional staff, with unlimited access to the entire library.
It was founded in 2017 by Jeff Blumberg together with several MGE executives and launched that November. It is built on the same practice management systems MGE has taught dental practices for decades, delivered on demand so your team can train from the practice or from home on their own schedule.
The library holds 29 courses and 526 lessons today, over 100 hours, and it keeps growing. We add new courses regularly and run two live events a month on top of the on-demand library.
It started as a companion resource for MGE clients and now serves practices across five continents, including many that have never worked with MGE.
DDS Success was founded by Jeff Blumberg, who has run MGE Management Experts as its COO for close to three decades.
The idea came out of a pattern he kept seeing. Across thousands of practices MGE trained, the most efficient and profitable ones were consistently the practices with the highest proportion of trained team members. But training the entire team ran into two walls: cost and availability. Travel is expensive, and not everyone in a practice can travel.
Starting in 2016 he began working out what online team training should actually look like and what would work. The question was not how to film a course. It was what a practice needs to teach the staff members who were never getting trained live in the first place, and how to build that so it holds up on video. What to deliver, in what order, and in a format where people retain it and apply it.
In early 2017 he formed DDS Success with several MGE executives, filming began, and the platform launched that November.
MGE: Management Experts is the largest dental practice management coaching and training company in North America, based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
MGE has trained tens of thousands of dentists through its seminars, courses, and the MGE Power Program, and works with practices one on one to implement what they learn. It operates a 55,000 square foot facility in Florida, a California branch, and an online learning portal, with more than 1,000 people a month in training across the three.
DDS Success was founded by MGE executives and teaches many of the same systems. It is a separate company.
No. They share a foundation but they are different things.
DDS Success teaches many of the same systems and principles MGE teaches. What is different is how you get it. DDS Success is on demand, so your team trains from the practice or from home on their own schedule. DDS Success also includes positional training that digs into the day-to-day functions of specific actions in a dental practice. For example, how to handle a patient schedule, no-show, cancellation, how to verify insurance benefits, handle patient financing and so on.
MGE's programs are full-service consulting and training, delivered on campus and one on one. DDS Success is an online training platform. Practices use both, and practices use each on its own.
No. DDS Success is open to any dental practice.
Most MGE clients do use it, and plenty of practices that have never worked with MGE use it as their primary team training. You do not need any prior relationship with MGE to subscribe.
More than 2,000 practices and nearly 22,000 users across five continents.
The courses were built out of decades of working with dental practices, drawing on what holds up across thousands of offices rather than one person's experience in one practice.
That is why they cover the whole practice rather than a single function. When you have watched thousands of practices try the same things, you learn which systems work everywhere and which ones only work in the office that invented them.

What DDS Success is not
No. DDS Success is not practice management software. It is not comparable to Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental and it does not replace them.
DDS Success is an online training platform for dental teams. It runs alongside whatever practice management software you already use and does not connect to it.
No. DDS Overhead Management is a separate company. We are not affiliated with them, though we know them well.
They run a group purchasing organization. They do not supply anything themselves, they negotiate pricing on supplies and services so dental practices can reduce overhead without cutting quality. They work with MGE clients, and DDS Success subscribers have access as well.
Different companies, different services. The names are similar and that is the whole of the connection. You can find them at DDS Overhead Management.
No. Dental Success Institute is a separate organization with no connection to us.
DDS Success is an online dental team training platform based in St. Petersburg, Florida, at ddssuccess.com.
No. DDS Practice Success is a different company with no connection to us.

How it compares
A consultant brings answers into your practice. When the consultant leaves, the answers may leave with them.
The point of training is that your team knows what to do without anyone standing over them.
DDS Success is a training platform, not a consultant. We run live events twice a month and our instructors are reachable through the platform, but if you want full-service consulting, that is what MGE does, and the two work well together.
The biggest difference is that DDS Success trains the whole team on one system.
A dental practice does not have a front office and a back office. It is one office and one team, and most of what goes wrong happens at the handoff between them. The schedule gets built in a way the clinical team cannot run. A patient hears one thing at the chair and something different at the desk. Neither of those is a front desk problem or a clinical problem. It is what happens when the two halves of a practice are working from different playbooks, and you cannot fix it by training one of them.
DDS Success trains everyone, doctor included, on the same terminology, the same systems, and the same standards. Front Office Rocks trains the front office.
The content also comes from a different place. DDS Success is built on the systems MGE has used to coach dental practices for over thirty years, developed across thousands of offices rather than one. Many of the instructors are the same people who teach MGE's seminars.
It also includes live events twice a month and direct access to instructors through the platform, so your team can ask questions rather than only watch videos. And because the training shares its foundation with MGE's coaching programs, practices that want one-on-one coaching later can move into that without starting over.
DDS Success is independently owned and operated by the people who built the curriculum.
Any size. We have solo practices with a couple of staff and we have multi-location groups.
Size is not really the variable that matters. What matters is whether everyone in the practice is trained on the same system. When they are, you get coordinated effort, and coordinated effort is what produces results. That is true in a two-person office and it is true across ten locations.
Pricing
DDS Success is $289 per month. That covers the doctor and up to ten additional team members.
Beyond that, additional users are $15 per user per month for the next ten, and $10 per user per month for any after that.
There is no contract. The subscription is month to month and you can cancel at any time.
Discounts are available for MGE clients. Call us at (855) 337-4769 and we will tell you what applies.
Your subscription includes the doctor and up to ten additional team members at $289 per month.
Any user beyond that is $15 per user per month for the next ten and then $10 per user per month for any beyond that. There is no setup fee and no tier you have to buy into.
Multi-location practices are covered under the same structure. Your subscription includes the doctor and ten team members at $289 per month. Additional users are $15 per user per month for the next ten and $10 per user per month after that, regardless of which location they sit in.
If you are running a larger group and want to talk through how to set it up, call us at (855) 337-4769.
We do not offer a free trial, but you can book a demo any time.
A demo is a walkthrough of the platform with someone who can answer questions about how it would work in your practice, what your team would start with, and what the first month looks like.
We do not offer refunds, because there is nothing to refund out of. DDS Success is month to month with no contract.
If you decide it is not for you, cancel and your access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. You are never locked into a term.
We do not offer a pause. Since there is no contract, you can cancel and resubscribe whenever you are ready.
Billing
The account holder can update payment details from Membership and Subscriptions, where there is an option to add or change the card on file.
If you run into trouble, email support@ddssuccess.com.
Your monthly charge appears on your card statement. If you need something more formal for your records, email support@ddssuccess.com and we will prepare it.
No. DDS Success is paid by credit or debit card only.
That is up to you. The account holder sets the billing contact and can point it at whoever handles payments in your practice.
The library
The library covers the operational side of running a dental practice. Broadly:
New patient acquisition, phone skills, and internal and external marketing.
Scheduling, including how to build a productive and efficient schedule rather than just fill a book.
Case acceptance and treatment presentation.
Practice finances, financial policy, and key performance indicators.
Hygiene department growth and patient reactivation.
Hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.
Leadership and management, including assigning job functions clearly, running morning huddles, aligning the team, correcting poor performance, and finding a strong office manager.
Policy development and practice organization.
There are also role-based paths for every position in the practice, and Practice Jumpstart for doctors and office managers who want to move production quickly.
The library holds 29 courses and 526 lessons, over 100 hours of training in total, with new courses added regularly.
Individual courses run from about half an hour to four hours depending on the subject. Some are six lessons, some are more than forty.
Lessons themselves run roughly five to twelve minutes, so a team member can complete one in a gap between patients rather than needing to block out an afternoon.
DDS Success has role-based training paths for office manager, receptionist, scheduling coordinator, financial coordinator, treatment coordinator, new patient coordinator, dental assistant, dental hygienist, associate doctor, and practice owner.
Each path is a sequence of courses built for that position. Every user also has access to the full library, so nobody is limited to their own path.
There is content built for the doctor. Treatment presentation and case acceptance, leadership, management, and practice financial management are all doctor-facing.
It is worth saying plainly that this is not a staff-only platform. A practice where the team has been trained and the doctor has not is a practice with a gap in it. The doctor should be in the material too.
Yes. There are quizzes after every lesson, so team members can confirm they understood the material before moving on.
Most of the library has transcripts, and courses that have transcripts also have Spanish translations. The remainder is in the process of being transcribed.
Training your team
Start by putting training time on the schedule. This is the part most practices skip, and it is the part that determines whether any of this works.
We have watched practices work themselves half to death five and six days a week when a properly trained and coordinated team can produce more in four. Set aside a minimum of two hours a week for team training and protect it.
From there you have two ways to work through the library.
Role-based training paths. Each path is a sequence built for a specific position, so a receptionist, scheduling coordinator, financial coordinator, or treatment coordinator (and all other positions) can start on day one and know exactly what comes next.
The full course library. Every user on your subscription has access to all 29 courses. If there is a specific problem you want to solve now, find the course that addresses it and assign it.
There are also courses everyone on the team should take regardless of role. Initial Training for the Entire Team, Basic Case Acceptance, Customer Service in a Dental Office, Phone Skills, and The Art of Scheduling Productively. The Art of Scheduling Productively belongs on everyone's list because it explains how the schedule is designed, and a schedule only works if the whole team understands the logic behind it.
Build the live events in as well. We run two a month. Decide which team members belong at which one and treat it as part of the training plan rather than something extra.
Two hours a week is the minimum we recommend, scheduled and protected.
It does not all have to be DDS Success. Practice-specific training counts. What matters is that the time exists on the schedule and does not get given away the first time the day runs long.
It depends almost entirely on application, not on the training itself.
Three things have to happen. The team has to actually do the training. They have to understand it. And they have to apply it in the practice. Practices that do all three see change quickly. Practices that buy the subscription and never build training into the schedule do not, and that has nothing to do with the content.
This is why we push so hard on protected training time. It is the difference between owning the material and owning access to it.
This is the real question, and the honest answer is that accountability sits with the practice.
It is like a health club membership. Your muscles do not grow because you paid the dues. You have to show up.
We help where we can. You get a monthly progress report showing exactly where each team member stands, so you are never guessing about who has done what. But the mechanism that makes it work is training time on the schedule.
Bake it in. Not all of it has to be DDS Success. You might spend one session on a course covering the organizational side of case acceptance, and the next session working through how your practice is going to implement it. Both are training. What matters is that the time exists and is protected.
We cannot stress this enough. Practices that schedule training get results. Practices that fit it in when things are slow do not, because things are never slow.
Accounts and seats
No, and you would not want them to.
Progress tracking is per user. If two people share a login, your monthly report becomes meaningless and you lose the ability to see who has completed what. Give every team member their own account.
You keep the seat. You do not lose anything when someone leaves.
We suspend the departing team member's account and create a new one for their replacement. Your seat count stays the same. Contact support@ddssuccess.com and we will handle it.
No to both. Team members can see their own progress and their own courses. They cannot see other team members' progress and they have no access to billing.
Progress reporting goes to the account holder.
Yes, for up to two years. If you cancel and resubscribe within that window, your team's course history and progress are still there and they pick up where they left off.
If it has been longer, contact us at support@ddssuccess.com and we will tell you what we still have.
Instructors and live events
Courses are taught by people who have spent their careers inside dental practices, not by professional presenters.
Jeff Blumberg has been COO of MGE Management Experts since 1998, and the company has grown more than 600 percent during his tenure. He has lectured to more than 100,000 business owners, executives, and team members, and has compiled and presented most of MGE's curriculum himself. He founded DDS Success in 2017 and hosts Dental Business Rx, a podcast for practice owners on the business side of dentistry.
Sabri Blumberg has been Deputy COO of MGE Management Experts since 1998 and is the company's senior technical authority. She has worked directly with thousands of practice owners and leadership teams on production, case acceptance, hiring, going out of network, and the systems underneath all of it. Her reputation rests on exact application rather than advice, which is also how she teaches. She presents the Practice Management Lab.
Dan Brown is President of Blumberg Digital, a digital marketing agency built for private dental practices, and a senior seminar speaker at MGE. Marketing a dental practice has rules that general marketing does not, from how a healthcare office can handle a patient review to what a practice can and cannot say about treatment, and that is the ground he works on. He is the lead instructor for the Dental Marketing Course on DDS Success, covering digital strategy, social proof, and internal referrals.
Carla Dezelic has done every job in a dental practice that does not require a license, which is why she built the positional training. She is a graduate of MGE's Office Manager Training Program and ran the front office for an MGE client before joining MGE herself, where she spent more than fifteen years as a consultant working with hundreds of practices to excellent results.
The late Dr. Greg Winteregg. Originally an MGE client, Greg built one of the top four percent producing practices in the country before joining MGE as a partner in 1994 and helping shape what became the MGE Power Program. Over a thirty-year career he lectured to over 100,000 dental professionals worldwide and was widely regarded as one of the best speakers in the industry, with a knack for turning complicated management ideas into things a team could actually use on Monday morning. He was one of the earliest contributors to DDS Success, and his training on communication, customer service, and case acceptance is still a foundational part of the platform. Greg passed away in 2021. Jeff Blumberg has said that if he had a room full of dentists and one speaker to give them, he would still pick Greg over anyone, himself included.
We run two live events a month, usually a week or two apart.
They are recorded, and recordings are typically posted within 72 hours so anyone who could not attend can watch later.
Click Register on the event page. If an upcoming event is being promoted on your dashboard when you log in, you can register straight from there.
Once you are registered we will remind you before the event starts.
We run two live series.
The Practice Management Lab is presented by Sabri Blumberg, with Jeff Blumberg appearing as a guest occasionally.
The Art of Closing is presented by Dr. Arvind Philomin, Dr. Richard Salvatore, and Dr. Saahil Trivedi. All three are MGE Power Program graduates who teach at MGE seminars. All three run elite, highly productive practices, and all three are excellent clinicians who are equally good at patient communication and case acceptance. That combination is rarer than it sounds, and it is why they teach this rather than describing it secondhand.
Dr. Arvind Philomin runs one of the most successful fee-for-service practices in New York City with his wife, Dr. Divya Adusumilli. They took a small Medicaid office and built it into a completely out-of-network practice, and built two large practices in Florida on top of it. He teaches treatment presentation, handling objections, and closing high-value cases.
Dr. Richard Salvatore built a highly productive practice alongside his wife, Dr. Vera Salvatore, doing implants and complex restorative work at volume without giving up patient care or operational discipline. He teaches case acceptance and how to present treatment confidently and close without pressure.
Dr. Saahil Trivedi is CEO of Preferred Dental Care, a four location group in Queens and Chelsea, two of the most competitive dental markets in the country. He grew up in the practice his parents built and has run it for the past several years, growing it well past what he inherited. He led the group out of every PPO plan over a twelve month transition, completely out of network now, without losing patients, production, or momentum. The flagship is one of the most productive practices in the United States and the second is not far behind, on bread-and-butter dentistry. He teaches case acceptance from the operatory rather than from theory.
